The Inspiring Team
The topic of World War II is truly one of the most sacramental and painful for Russia. It was the times when young men, inexperienced fighters left their homes without even saying "Goodbye". None of them knew if they would ever be able to see their loved ones again, if they would ever be able to return home from the war.
The film shows the story from World War II, when Ural artists united together in teams to become an inspiration for Soviet soldiers, raise the morale of the troops and lead them to Victory. The artists went to perform to the front lines. They showed up in any weather conditions, on any platform, whether it was a forest or a field, a hospital or a military base. They brought with them costumes, musical instruments and props to revive the soldiers' memories of civilian life and times of peace. Each artist brought something personal to each performance - there were no people and families in Russia who were not be affected by the war.
The script for “The Inspiring Team” is based on true events: the draft was based on the stories of Ural artists, who performed on the front lines during the Second World War.
